Scholarships & fellowships
Government, private and international funding for school, college and postgraduate study, plus paid fellowships.
How to shortlist scholarships quickly
Start with eligibility, not the prize amount. Most rejections happen because applicants miss a hard criterion: family income ceilings, minimum marks, course type, domicile state or age limit. Open the official notice, find the eligibility section and check each line against your documents before you spend time on an essay.
Next, sort by effort. Government schemes on the National Scholarship Portal mainly need accurate documents. Private and international awards such as Chevening or Rhodes need essays, references and interviews, and reward months of preparation. Mix both kinds so you aren't relying on a single long shot.
Documents to keep ready

- Income certificate from the competent authority for the current year
- Caste or category certificate, if applicable
- Previous year's marksheets and fee receipt

- Passport-size photograph and a scanned signature
